Is GA4 alone enough for accurate measurement?

Default GA4 installations miss a significant proportion of sessions due to ad blockers, cookie refusals, and implementation errors. Proper configuration and server-side tracking are essential for accuracy.

What is server-side tracking and why do we need it?

Server-side tracking sends data from your web server to analytics platforms rather than from the user's browser. This bypasses ad blockers, respects privacy, and dramatically improves data accuracy.

Can you work with our existing analytics setup?

Is Google Analytics 4 free?

Yes — GA4 is free to use. However, the default free implementation has significant limitations: data sampling in reports, limited 14-month data retention, and no raw data access. Connecting GA4 to BigQuery (free up to 1TB/month) is essential for advanced analysis, long-term data retention, and accurate attribution modelling. Our analytics service sets up the complete stack correctly from day one.

What is the difference between GA4 and Universal Analytics?

Universal Analytics was retired in July 2023. GA4 uses an event-based data model rather than session-based, which is more flexible but requires a fundamentally different implementation and reporting approach. Many businesses migrated incorrectly and are currently operating on inaccurate data without realising it. We audit and remediate GA4 implementations as a standalone service, frequently finding significant measurement gaps.
